Texturing Artist

DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Texturing Artist to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality textures that bring 3D models to life, ensuring realism, consistency, and artistic excellence across all assets.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Create photorealistic and stylized textures for characters, props, environments, and other assets using tools like Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Mari, etc.
- Develop and apply shaders/materials based on project requirements and rendering pipelines.
- Work closely with modeling, shading, lookdev, and lighting teams to ensure texture consistency and visual fidelity.
- Ensure UV layouts are clean, efficient, and optimized for texturing.
- Maintain quality standards and meet project deadlines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Experience with 3D modeling tools (Maya, Blender, or 3Ds Max).
- Knowledge of real-time texturing workflows for game engines (Unreal/Unity) is a plus.
Skills & experience required to Succeed in this role:
- 2+yrs of proven experience as a Texturing Artist in CGI/VFX/Gaming/Animation production environments.
- Proficiency in texturing tools such as Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of UV mapping, PBR workflows, and shader networks.
- Solid artistic eye for color, detail, and surface quality.
- Basic understanding of rendering engines (like Arnold, V-Ray, Redshift, Unreal, etc.) is a plus.
- Good communication and team collaboration skills.
- Portfolio/showreel demonstrating high-quality texturing work is mandatory.
